Veterans Gallery
Veterans Gallery features military displays, exhibits and commemorative items. It is located on the second level (Mason Street) and open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.
The walls and cantilevers are decorated with a variety of commemorative plaques that recognize the contributions of many, in service to all. Commemorations for Veteran of the Year, Military Nurses, US Submarine Veterans of WWII, United Spanish War Veterans, and those who served on the USS Milwaukee CL-5 can be found in Veterans Gallery. There is also a plaque in memory of John and Eleanor Schneider and their ten sons who served in the military.
USO
The USO has a presence in Veterans Gallery to provide services to active military and veterans on weekend days.
The USO showcase displays medals for meritorious achievements and honorable service commendations. The collection and the insignia display hanging behind it were both donated by Milwaukee Metropolitan Non-commissioned Officer’s Council.
