Never Forget our fallen brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. We will be placing 27,316 flags this year representing Wisconsin’s killed in action from the Civil War through the present. With your help and the help of hundreds of other volunteers, we will reach our goal. Flag placement begins Monday, May 20 through Friday, May 24.

The War Memorial Center Board of Trustees invites you to join us at the opening of our latest exhibit, LEST WE FORGET, honoring Wisconsin’s service members held as prisoners-of-war and those classified as missing-in-action on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 10 am.

The War Memorial Center and Southeastern Wisconsin Veteran Suicide Prevention Taskforce invite you to join us this summer for Music In The Garden. The War Memorial Beer Garden is located on Milwaukee’s premier lakefront and hosted by Kegel’s Inn. Enjoy great food, craft beer, and music June 20th, July 18th, & August 15th from 6 pm – 8 pm. “Veterans & Military Encouraged to attend! Resources Available”

A magical evening that brings the community together at the War Memorial Center to honor and celebrate the freedoms which our US Service Members protect.
Join us for the best seat in the house for the Milwaukee Fireworks Show! Live Music from 5 Card Stud, a truly Milwaukee (and a little German!) dinner provided by Kegel's Inn. Reserved tables on Fitch Plaza offer expansive views of Milwaukee's downtown and Lake Michigan.
